Two names, one thread. ZA for Ali Zain. NOR for Noor Ali.
Before Zanor was a brand, it was a friendship, sixteen years of it. Ali Zain and Noor Ali grew up trading the same obsession: fashion, and the belief that Pakistan had more to say to the world than the world had heard yet. When Noor moved to Canada, the distance didn't split the plan. It expanded it. Two friends talking about clothes became two founders building for an international market.
For six years, we built other people's brands, manufacturing for local and online labels across Pakistan and learning the industry from the inside: sourcing, cutting, sewing, finishing, shipping. We earned a real grip on the market long before we earned our own name.
03. South Asian, expressedSouth Asian art is already everywhere around us, in every weave, every motif, every pattern we grew up seeing without ever really noticing. Zanor fuses that language with artisan technique and a streetwear lens, carrying South Asian art as emotion, not decoration.
It took us close to half a year to find the artisans we actually wanted to work with, the ones whose craft matched what we were trying to build, and bring every one of them on board. We had the access; what we needed was the right people to complete the vision.
Zanor is Ali Zain and Noor Ali's fashion label, built on six years of manufacturing experience, sixteen years of friendship, and a belief that South Asian art deserves to be worn, not just seen.
